The Power of Mercy

SUMMARY: Mercy and kindness are essential for one to receive mercy and kindness in return.

Narrated Jarir bin 'Abdullah: The Prophet said, "He who is not merciful to others, will not be treated mercifully.
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ لاَ يَرْحَمُ لاَ يُرْحَمُ

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) taught us that mercy and kindness are essential values to practice in our lives. He said, “He who is not merciful to others, will not be treated mercifully”. This hadith emphasizes the importance of being kind and compassionate towards others as it is a reflection of our own character. It also implies that if we want to be treated with mercy, we must first show mercy towards others. This hadith teaches us that by being kind and compassionate towards those around us, we can create a better world for ourselves as well as those around us.
