The Rewards of Planting Trees

SUMMARY: Planting a tree or plant is an act of charity and will be rewarded as such.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said, "If any Muslim plants any plant and a human being or an animal eats of it, he will be rewarded as if he had given that much in charity".

QUICK LESSONS:
Plant Trees/Plants
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith from Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) teaches us the importance of planting trees and plants. It is an act of charity that will be rewarded by Allah. Even if someone else benefits from the tree or plant that was planted, the planter will still receive reward for it. This shows us how generous Allah is in rewarding good deeds even if we don’t directly benefit from them ourselves. We should all strive to do good deeds like planting trees so that we can reap the rewards in this life and in the hereafter.
