Keeping Secrets of the Prophet (PBUH)

SUMMARY: A mother teaches her son to keep the secrets of the Prophet (PBUH) and not to disclose it to anyone.

Thabit (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said: Messenger of Allah came to me while I was playing with the boys. He greeted us and sent me on an errand. This delayed my return to my mother. When I came to her, she asked, "What detained you?" I said; "Messenger of Allah sent me on an errand". She asked, "What was it?" I said, "It is a secret". My mother said; "Do not disclose to anyone the secret of Messenger of Allah ". Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said to Thabit (May Allah be pleased with him): By Allah, were I to tell it to anyone I would have told you. Muslim.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a mother teaching her son an important lesson about respecting and obeying the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The story begins when Anas was playing with his friends and he was sent on an errand by the Messenger of Allah. When he returned home late, his mother asked him what had delayed him. He told her that it was a secret from the Messenger of Allah but she instructed him not to tell anyone else about it. Anas then said that if he were going to tell anyone, it would have been Thabit who narrated this hadith. This shows us how important it is for us as Muslims to respect and obey our beloved prophet by keeping his secrets safe and not disclosing them without permission. It also teaches us how important it is for parents to teach their children good values from a young age so they can grow up as righteous individuals in society.
