Scratching While in Ihram

SUMMARY: A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, was asked if someone in ihram could scratch their body and she said yes.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Alqama ibn Abi Alqama that his mother said, "I heard A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, being asked whether some one in ihram could scratch their body or not, and she said, 'Yes, he can scratch it and do so as hard as he pleases. I would scratch even if my hands were tied and I could only use my feet'. "

QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful of your actions while you're worshipping; Respectfully worship Allah; Follow what has been permitted by Allah Almighty; Follow what has been taught by Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a question posed to A'isha, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The question was whether someone who is in ihram can scratch their body or not. A'isha answered that it is permissible for them to do so as hard as they please even if their hands are tied and they can only use their feet. This hadith teaches us that it is permissible for people who are in ihram to scratch themselves when necessary even if they cannot use their hands due to being tied up or otherwise unable to move them freely. It also teaches us that we should be mindful of our actions while we are in a state of worship such as ihram and not take any unnecessary actions which may disrupt our spiritual journey towards Allah Almighty.
