Musnad Ahmad 164 (Book 2, Hadith 81) #33856
Praising the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) warned against praising him in the same way that Christians praised Jesus (PBUH). He reminded people that he was only a slave of Allah.

It was narrated that 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah said: "Do not praise me as the Christians praised Eesa ibn Maryam عليه السلام. I am no more than a slave, so say: His slave and His Messenger".
