Dreams of the Prophet

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that if someone sees him in a dream, it is real and not an imitation by Satan.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever sees me in a dream has (really) sees me, for Satan cannot imitate me".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، قَالَ أَبُو عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَمَّارٍ، - هُوَ الدُّهْنِيُّ - عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ فَقَدْ رَآنِي فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لاَ يَتَمَثَّلُ بِي

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith states that if someone has a dream of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), then it is real and not an imitation by Satan. This means that when we have dreams, we should take them seriously as they may be from Allah or His Messenger. It also teaches us to be wary of any visions or dreams which are sent by Satan as they will be false and misleading. We should always seek guidance from Allah before making any decisions based on our dreams or visions. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us to have faith in Allah's power over all things, including our dreams and visions. He is able to protect us from any false messages sent by Satan so that we can make wise decisions based on true guidance from Him alone.
