QUICK LESSONS:
Call yourself by the prophet's name
EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah states that the Prophet Muhammad advised people to call themselves by his name, but not to use his Kunyah. A kunyah is a nickname or title given to a person based on their firstborn child. For example, if someone’s firstborn child was named Ali, they would be known as “Abu Ali” or “Father of Ali”. In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad is advising people not to take on such titles in order to avoid confusion and misunderstanding among Muslims. He wants everyone who follows him and believes in him to be united under one name - that of the Prophet himself - so that there can be no doubt about who they are following and what their beliefs are. This hadith teaches us about unity and respect for each other as Muslims; it also encourages us all to strive for peace and harmony within our communities.
