Affliction from the East

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) warned of affliction coming from the east.

Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet stood up and delivered a sermon, and pointing to 'Aisha's house (ie eastwards), he said thrice, "Affliction (will appear from) here," and, "from where the side of the Satan's head comes out (ie from the East).
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ خَطِيبًا فَأَشَارَ نَحْوَ مَسْكَنِ عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ هُنَا الْفِتْنَةُ ـ ثَلاَثًا ـ مِنْ حَيْثُ يَطْلُعُ قَرْنُ الشَّيْطَانِ

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is warning his followers of a potential affliction that may come from the east. He pointed to Aisha's house which was located in the east and said "affliction will appear from here" three times. This hadith serves as a reminder to us that we should always be prepared for any potential danger or harm that may come our way and take necessary precautions to protect ourselves and our families.
