QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Sunnah set by beloved prophet in matters related to personal hygiene and cleanliness

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates the practices of ablution and bathing that were followed by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is narrated from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah used to perform ablution with a Mudd of water. A Mudd is an Arabic unit for measurement which is equivalent to approximately 0.5 liters or 1.1 pints. Similarly, he would take a bath using one Sa' which is also an Arabic unit for measurement equivalent to approximately 4 liters or 8.8 pints. These practices demonstrate how even in matters related to personal hygiene and cleanliness, Muslims should follow the Sunnah set by their beloved prophet as it was done in moderation without any extravagance or wastefulness.
