Praying for Sustenance

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) prayed to Allah for the sustenance of his family to be nourishing.

Abu Hurairah narrated the the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: "O Allah! Make the sustenance of Muhammad's family nourishing".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ رِزْقَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ قُوتًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah tells us that the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) prayed to Allah for the sustenance of his family to be nourishing and plentiful. This teaches us that we should always pray and ask Allah for our needs and those of our families so that they may be fulfilled in a way that is beneficial and pleasing to Him. We should also remember that whatever Allah provides us with is from His mercy and grace, so we should thank Him for it no matter what it is or how much it is. Furthermore, this hadith also reminds us of the importance of taking care of our families as well as providing them with all their needs in a way which pleases Allah Almighty.
