QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful of your actions; Respect your elders; Conserve resources such as water; Take advice into consideration; Do small acts with great consequences

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrates an incident in which the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) visited the home of his companion, Abdur-Rahman bin Abi 'Amrah. During his visit, he drank from a hanging water-skin while standing. His companion's grandmother, Kabshah noticed this and went to cut off its mouth so that it would not spill any more water. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful of our actions and be conscious of how much we use resources such as water. We should also respect our elders and take their advice into consideration as they have wisdom beyond our years. Furthermore, it is important to remember that even small acts can have great consequences; in this case, cutting off the mouth of the waterskin was a small act but it saved precious resources from being wasted unnecessarily.
