EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by several companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and it speaks about the reward of fasting one day for the sake of Allah. It states that whoever fasts a day in the cause of Allah will be kept away from Hellfire by seventy autumns or forty autumns depending on which narration you follow. This means that if someone fasted one day for Allah's sake then they would be kept far away from Hellfire and its punishment. This hadith teaches us to always strive to do good deeds as they can bring us closer to our Creator and keep us safe from His punishment.
