EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the rewards of fasting for Allah. It is narrated by Abu Said Al Khudri that Prophet Muhammad said that a worshipper who fasts a day in the cause of Allah will be rewarded greatly, as it will distance them from the fire by seventy autumns. This means that their reward is so great that it can keep them away from punishment in Hellfire, which is an immense blessing and mercy from God. It teaches us to strive to do good deeds and worship God with sincerity, as these actions are what will bring us closer to Him and save us on Judgment Day.
