Seek protection with God against our own bad deeds as well as those done by others ; Remember this prayer whenever faced with difficult situations or feel tempted by Satan's whispers ; Do not associate anyone else with God ; Do not commit any sins which would harm other Muslims .

This hadith encourages people to seek refuge in Allah from the evil of themselves, the Devil and his suggestions. It is narrated by AbuMalik that when people asked him for a word they could repeat every morning, evening and when they rise, he commanded them to say “O Allah! Creator of Heavens and Earth; Knower of all that is hidden and open; Thou art the Lord of everything; the angels testify that there is no god but Thee, for we seek refuge in Thee from the evil within ourselves, from the evil of the Devil accused and from the evil of his suggestion about partnership with Allah, and that we earn sin for ourselves or drag it to a Muslim”.
