Follow a Muslim's funeral procession out of faith and hope for rewards from Allah . Offer prayers at funerals . Wait until they are buried .

This hadith speaks about the reward that one can receive by following a Muslim's funeral procession and offering the funeral prayer for them. It is narrated from Abu Hurairah that Prophet Muhammad said that whoever follows the funeral procession of a Muslim out of faith and in the hope of reward, then offers the funeral prayer for him and waits until he is placed in his grave, then he will have two Qirats. A qirat is an amount equal to one third of a mountain like Mount Uhud. If someone offers only the funeral prayer but does not wait until they are buried, they will still receive one qirat as their reward. This hadith teaches us to show respect to our fellow Muslims even after their death by attending their funerals and praying for them so we can receive Allah's blessings in return.
