EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of modesty as a branch of faith. It was narrated by Abu Hurairah that the Prophet said that faith has seventy odd branches and modesty is one of them. This means that having modesty is an essential part of having true faith in Allah and His teachings. Being modest means being humble and not showing off or bragging about oneself or one's accomplishments. It also means being respectful to others and not speaking ill about them or gossiping about them behind their backs. Having modesty can help us stay away from sinning because it keeps us from doing things we know are wrong or inappropriate for our religion. In addition, it helps us stay focused on our relationship with Allah by keeping us mindful of His presence at all times and reminding us to be grateful for all He has given us in life.
