EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith discusses the ruling of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, regarding a situation where a man finds his goods in possession of someone who is not guilty. In such cases, he has two options; either to give what he paid for it or to go after the one who stole it. Abu Bakr and Umar also passed similar judgments which shows that they followed the teachings of Prophet Muhammad and respected his rulings. This hadith teaches us that we should always respect other people's possessions and never take something without permission even if we think no one will know about it because Allah knows everything and He will hold us accountable for our actions on the Day of Judgement.
