QUICK LESSONS:
Obey Allah's commands .

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of Khaibar in 628 CE, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ prohibited two things - Mut’ah and eating donkey meat. Mut’ah is a type of temporary marriage that was practiced by some people before Islam came to be. Eating donkey meat was also something that was done by some people at that time but it was forbidden by Allah ï·» through His messenger ﷺ as it is not considered halal or permissible for Muslims to eat. This hadith teaches us about obedience to Allah's commands even if we do not understand why they are given or what purpose they serve. It also teaches us about being mindful of our actions and avoiding anything that has been prohibited by Allah ï·» as it may have negative consequences for us in this life or in the hereafter.
