Forbidden Practices on the Day of Khaibar

SUMMARY: The Prophet forbade Mut'ah marriage and the consumption of donkey meat on the Day of Khaibar.

It was narrated from Al- Hasan bin Muhammad, and 'Abdullah bin Muhammad that their father said: "Ali said to Ibn'Abbas, may Allah be please with them both: The Prophet forbade Mut'ah marriage, and the flesh of domesticated donkeys on the Day of Khaibar"'.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِمَا، قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ لاِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رضى الله عنهما إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ نَهَى عَنْ نِكَاحِ الْمُتْعَةِ وَعَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الأَهْلِيَّةِ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a prohibition that was made by Prophet Muhammad during the Battle of Khaibar. It states that he forbade two things; temporary marriage known as Mut’ah and eating donkey meat. Mut’ah is a type of marriage which is only valid for a certain period of time and it was forbidden in Islam due to its potential for misuse. Eating donkey meat was also prohibited because it was considered unclean according to Islamic law. This hadith serves as an example for Muslims to follow in order to live their lives according to Islamic teachings and values such as cleanliness, respect for animals, and avoiding any form of exploitation or abuse in relationships between people.
