QUICK LESSONS:
Be generous with your wealth; Help those who are less fortunate than you; Provide food when you can;

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a verse in the Quran which states that people have a choice between fasting or feeding a poor person for every day. However, this verse has been cancelled according to Nafi', who narrated this hadith from Ibn 'Umar. This means that it is no longer obligatory for people to choose between fasting or feeding a poor person each day. Instead, they can choose whichever one they prefer and are able to do. This teaches us that we should be generous with our wealth and help those who are less fortunate than us by providing them with food when we can. We should also remember to be thankful for what we have and not take it for granted as there are many people in need of assistance around us.
