Making Exceptions in Oaths

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that if someone swears an oath and adds "If Allah wills" to it, then they have made an exception.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever swears an oath and says: If Allah wills, then he has made an exception'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Swear an Oath with "If Allah Wills" added at the end.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad's teachings remind us of the importance of making exceptions when we swear an oath. An oath is a solemn promise or commitment to do something, and by adding "If Allah wills" to it, we are acknowledging that our plans may not come true due to circumstances beyond our control. This teaches us humility and reminds us that ultimately, everything is in the hands of Allah. We should also be careful when making promises or commitments as they can be difficult to keep if unforeseen events occur.
