Mourning and Lamentation in Islam

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the words of disavowal that the messenger of Allah said regarding mourning and lamentation.

It was narrated that Safwan bin Muhriz said: "Abu Musa fell unconscious and they wept for him. He said: 'I say to you the words of disavowal that the messenger of Allah said: He is not one of us who shaves his head (as a sign of mourning), rends his garments, or raises his voice in Lamentation"'.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the words of disavowal that the messenger of Allah said regarding mourning and lamentation. According to this hadith, it is not permissible for a Muslim to shave their head, rend their garments or raise their voice in lamentations as a sign of mourning. This teaching from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ shows us that Muslims should not express grief in an excessive manner, but rather be patient and accept whatever happens with faith. It also teaches us to be moderate in our expressions when we are faced with difficult situations or losses. We should remember that everything happens according to Allah's will and plan, so we must remain steadfast even during times of difficulty.
