Sahih al-Bukhari 811 (Book 10, Hadith 206) #786
Waiting for the Prophet's Prostration

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) taught his followers to wait until he had placed his forehead on the ground before they bowed down in prostration.

Narrated Al-Bara' bin 'Azib: (He was not a liar) We used to pray behind the Prophet and when he said, "Sami'a l-lahu liman hamidah", none of us would bend his back (to go for prostration) till the Prophet had placed his, forehead on the ground.
