EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of continuing to do good deeds even after one has embraced Islam. It is narrated on the authority of Hakim b. Hizam that he said he did some acts in a state of ignorance and asked if they would still count as acts of piety now that he was a Muslim. The Prophet Muhammad responded by saying that all his previous acts were accepted and encouraged him to continue doing good deeds in his new faith. This hadith emphasizes the importance of maintaining virtuous behavior regardless of one's faith or lack thereof, as it is an essential part of being a Muslim and living an ethical life overall. It also serves as a reminder that any good deed done before embracing Islam will still be accepted by God and should not be forgotten or neglected once one has converted to Islam.
