Prayer Led by the Prophet ﷺ

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ led the people in prayer and when asked about it, he offered two prostrations of Sahu.

Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet led us in Zuhr prayer and prayer five rak'at. Somebody asked him whether the prayer had been increased". He (the Prophet ) said, "And what is that?" They (the people) replied, "You have prayed five rak'at". Then the Prophet offered two prostrations (of Sahu) after he had finished his prayer with the Taslim.
حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا النَّبِيُّ الظُّهْرَ خَمْسًا فَقِيلَ أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ وَمَا ذَاكَ ‏"‏‏.‏ قَالُوا صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا‏.‏ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ مَا سَلَّمَ‏.‏

This hadith is about the Prophet's leading of a prayer with five rak'at. When asked about it, he offered two prostrations of Sahu after finishing his prayer with the Taslim. This hadith teaches us that we should follow the example set by our beloved Prophet and be mindful of our prayers. We should also strive to understand what is being said during our prayers and ask questions if we are unsure or confused. Additionally, this hadith shows us that even though we may not always understand why something is happening, we should still have faith in Allah's plan and trust that He knows best.
