Completing Prayers with Sincerity

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ was reminded by Dhul-Yaddain that he had only offered two rak'at in prayer, to which the Prophet ﷺ responded by standing up and offering two more rak'at.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger finished his prayer after offerings two rak'at only. Dhul-Yaddain asked him whether the prayer had been reduced, or you had forgotten?" The Prophet said, "Is Dhul-Yaddain speaking the truth?" The people said, "Yes". Then Allah's Messenger stood up and performed another two rak'at and then finished prayer with Taslim, and then said the Takbir and performed a prostration similar to or longer than his ordinary prostrations; then he raised his head, said Takbir and prostrated and then raised his head (Sahu prostrations).

QUICK LESSONS:
Complete your prayers properly according to Islamic teachings .
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of completing one's prayers with sincerity. It is narrated by Abu Huraira that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ finished his prayer after offering two rak'at only. Dhul-Yaddain asked him whether the prayer had been reduced or he had forgotten something. The people confirmed that Dhul-Yaddain was speaking truthfully, and so the Prophet ﷺ stood up and performed another two rak'at before finishing his prayer with Taslim, followed by a prostration longer than usual. This shows us how important it is to complete our prayers properly and sincerely, as even the Prophet ﷺ did not take any chances when it came to fulfilling his religious obligations. We should strive to do our best in all aspects of worshiping Allah SWT, including praying regularly and completing each prayer correctly according to Islamic teachings.
