Sahih al-Bukhari 7094 (Book 92, Hadith 45) #6817
Praying for Different Places

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ prayed for the people of Sham and Yemen, but when asked to pray for Najd, he warned that it was a place of earthquakes and afflictions.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: The Prophet said, "O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen". The People said, "And also on our Najd". He said, "O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham (north)! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen". The people said, "O Allah's Apostle! And also on our Najd". I think the third time the Prophet said, "There (in Najd) is the place of earthquakes and afflictions and from there comes out the side of the head of Satan".

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray carefully & mindfully .

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is teaching us about prayer and its importance. He is praying for two places in particular - Sham and Yemen - but when asked to pray for Najd as well, he warns that it is a place of earthquakes and afflictions. This teaches us that we should be careful with our prayers; we should not just ask Allah SWT to bless any place without thinking about what might happen there. We should also be mindful of the consequences of our actions; if something bad happens in a certain area, it could be because of something we have done wrong or neglected to do right. Finally, this hadith reminds us that Allah SWT knows best; He knows what will happen in each place before we even ask Him to bless it.
