Sahih al-Bukhari 6658 (Book 83, Hadith 37) #6404
The Best People According to Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ was asked who the best people are and he replied that it is those of his generation, followed by those who come after them, and then those who come after the later. He also mentioned that there will be some people whose witness will precede their oaths and their oaths will go ahead of their witness.

Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet was asked, "Who are the best people?" He replied: The people of my generation, and then those who will follow (come after) them, and then those who will come after the later; after that there will come some people whose witness will precede their oaths and their oaths will go ahead of their witness". Ibrahim (a sub-narrator) said, "When we were young, our elder friends used to prohibit us from taking oaths by saying, 'I bear witness swearing by Allah, or by Allah's Covenant"'.

QUICK LESSONS:
Speak truthfully, Be trustworthy in your words & deeds .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the best people according to Prophet Muhammad. He said that the best people are from his generation, followed by those who come after them, and then those who come after the later. He also mentioned that there will be some people whose witness will precede their oaths and their oaths will go ahead of their witness. This means that these people are so honest in what they say or do that they don't need to swear an oath for it as others do because they can be trusted without having to swear an oath first. It is a sign of great character when one's word is enough for others to trust them without having to swear an oath first.
