Stopping at Two Jamarat

SUMMARY: Abdullah ibn Umar used to stop for a long time at the first two Jamarat, saying prayers and supplications to Allah, but he did not stop at the third one.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to stop for a long time at the first two Jamarat saying, "Allah is greater", "Glory be to Allah", "Praise be to Allah", and making duas to Allah, but he did not stop at the jamrat al-Aqaba.

QUICK LESSONS:
Take your time in prayer and supplication when performing religious duties such as Hajj or Umrah; Be mindful of your actions during sacred journeys; Take care not to rush through them without taking proper care in worshipping Allah Almighty; Say prayers and invocations while pausing at the first two pillars of Jamarat .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the rituals of Hajj, which is an Islamic pilgrimage that Muslims must perform once in their lifetime if they are able. The hadith states that Abdullah ibn Umar used to pause for a long time when passing by the first two pillars of Jamarat during his Hajj journey. During this pause, he would say prayers and supplications to Allah. However, he did not do this when passing by the third pillar of Jamarat al-Aqaba. This hadith teaches us that we should take our time in prayer and supplication when performing religious duties such as Hajj or Umrah. We should also remember that it is important to be mindful of our actions during these sacred journeys and take care not to rush through them without taking proper care in our worship of Allah Almighty.
