Wearing Rings on the Middle Finger

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade Ali from wearing a ring on the middle finger.

It was narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah forbade me to put the ring on the middle finger.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بُرْدَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ أَنْ أَضَعَ الْخَاتَمَ فِي الْوُسْطَى
