Keeping Sacrificial Animal Meat

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade keeping the meat of sacrificial animals after three days.

It was narrated that Abu Ubaid, the freed slave of AbdurRahman bin 'Awf, said: I heard 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) say: The Messenger of Allah forbade keeping the meat of sacrificial animals after three days.

QUICK LESSONS:
Share the meat with those in need or give it away as charity within 3 days after sacrificing an animal .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a teaching from Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. He taught that it is not allowed to keep the meat of sacrificial animals for more than three days. This means that if someone sacrifices an animal for a special occasion or as an offering to God, they should not keep the meat for longer than three days and should instead share it with others who are in need or give it away as charity. This teaches us to be generous and kind towards others and to think of those who are less fortunate than us. It also encourages us to use our resources wisely and not waste them unnecessarily.
