lt was narrated that Abu 'Ubaid, the freed slave of Ibn Azhar, said: I attended Eid with 'Umar bin al-Khattab, He came and prayed, then he stood and addressed the people saying: These are two days when the Messenger of Allah forbade fasting, the day when you break your fast and the other day, when you eat from your sacrifices.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of celebrating two days of Eid. It was narrated by Abu 'Ubaid that he attended an Eid prayer with Umar bin al-Khattab and heard him say that these are two days when the Messenger of Allah forbade fasting. This means that it is not permissible to fast on these two days as they are meant for celebration and joyous occasions. On these days people should eat from their sacrifices and enjoy themselves with their families and friends. It is important to remember that even though we celebrate these special occasions, we should still remain mindful of our faith and practice moderation in our celebrations so as not to go against Islamic teachings.
