Musnad Ahmad 13 (Book 1, Hadith 13) #33711
Entering Paradise Through Righteousness

SUMMARY: The hadith emphasizes that those who are miserly, cheat, betray or mistreat their slaves will not enter Paradise. It also states that the first to knock at the gates of Paradise will be the slaves if they fulfill their duties towards Allah and their masters properly.

It was narrated thal Abu Bakr as-Siddeeq said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'No miser, cheater, traitor or person who mistreats his slaves will enter Paradise. The first to knock at the gates of Paradise will be the slaves, if they fulfill their duties towards Allah and towards their masters properly".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how one can enter paradise through righteousness. It was narrated by Abu Bakr as-Siddeeq that the Messenger of Allah said no miser, cheater, traitor or person who mistreats his slaves will enter paradise. The hadith emphasizes that those who are miserly, cheat, betray or mistreat their slaves will not enter paradise and instead be denied entry into it. On the other hand it also states that if one fulfills his duties towards Allah and his masters properly then he/she has a chance to be among those knocking at the gates of paradise first. This means being righteous in our actions and fulfilling our obligations towards both God and people is essential for us to gain access into heaven in afterlife.
