QUICK LESSONS:
Listen & Obey as much as you can

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith is about the importance of listening and obeying the commands of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It was narrated by Attab ibn Hurmuz that he heard Anas bin Malik say that they gave their pledge to the Messenger of Allah on the basis that they would listen and obey. He said “As much as you can”. This means that we should try our best to follow what he has commanded us to do. We should not disobey or ignore any command given by him because it is for our own benefit in this life and in the hereafter. We must remember that obedience brings blessings from Allah while disobedience brings punishment from Him. Therefore, it is important for us to always strive to obey His commands with sincerity and humility so we may receive His mercy in this life and in the hereafter.
