EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the punishment for stealing produce or the spadix of palm trees. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that cutting off a person's hand should not be used as a punishment in this case. Instead, other forms of punishments such as fines or jail time can be used to punish those who commit this crime. This hadith teaches us that justice must be served fairly and equally regardless of what someone has done wrong. It also reminds us to think carefully before we act because our actions have consequences that can affect us in many ways. We must always strive to do what is right and just so that we can live peacefully with others in our society.
