Measuring Food for Blessing

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised people to measure their food and be blessed.

It was narrated that Abdullah bin Busr Al-Mazini said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Measure your food, may you be blessed therein"'.
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْيَحْصُبِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ كِيلُوا طَعَامَكُمْ يُبَارَكْ لَكُمْ فِيهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us to be mindful of our consumption and not take more than what we need. He advised us to measure our food, so that we can be blessed in it. This hadith encourages us to practice moderation in all aspects of life, including the amount of food we consume. It also teaches us that Allah will bless whatever is done with moderation and balance, as opposed to excessiveness or overindulgence. We should strive for balance in all areas of life, so that we can receive the blessings from Allah SWT.
