Measuring Food for Blessing

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ encourages us to measure our food and be blessed.

It was narrated from Abu Ayyub that the Prophet said: "Measure your food, may you be blessed therein".
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِيكَرِبَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ كِيلُوا طَعَامَكُمْ يُبَارَكْ لَكُمْ فِيهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged us to measure our food, so that we can receive blessings from it. This hadith teaches us the importance of being mindful of how much we consume, and not overindulging in food. It also reminds us that Allah is the provider of all sustenance, and that He blesses those who are mindful in their consumption. We should strive to practice moderation when it comes to eating, as this will bring about greater blessings from Allah. Additionally, this hadith serves as a reminder for us to be grateful for the sustenance we have been given by Allah and not take it for granted.
