QUICK LESSONS:
Take some time out each year for yourself so that you can reconnect with your Creator through prayer and contemplation without any distractions from your everyday life; set up your bedding or bed behind a pillar known as the Pillar of Repentance; devote yourself completely to Allah and His teachings during special times like Ramadan; strengthen your faith by dedicating yourself fully to Him during these days in Ramadan; observe Itikaaf .
EXPLANATIONS:
During the Islamic month of Ramadan, Muslims practice a spiritual retreat called I'tikāf. This is when they dedicate their time to worship Allah and spend time in prayer and contemplation. During this period, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to set up his bedding or bed behind a pillar known as the Pillar of Repentance. This was done so that he could focus on his spiritual journey without any distractions from outside sources. By doing this, he was able to devote himself completely to Allah and His teachings during this special time.

The practice of I'tikāf is an important part of Islam as it allows Muslims to take a break from their daily lives and focus solely on their relationship with Allah for a short period of time each year. Through this practice, Muslims are able to strengthen their faith by dedicating themselves fully to Him during these days in Ramadan.

This hadith serves as an example for us all that we should take some time out each year for ourselves so that we can reconnect with our Creator through prayer and contemplation without any distractions from our everyday lives.
