Delaying the Isha Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) wanted to delay the Isha prayer, but it would have been too difficult for his followers.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Were it not that it would be too difficult for my Ummah, I would have delayed the 'Isha' prayer until one third or one half of the night had passed'."

The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, wanted to delay the Isha prayer until one third or one half of the night had passed. However, he realized that this would be too difficult for his followers and so he decided against it. This hadith teaches us that we should always consider how our actions will affect others before making decisions. We should also strive to make things easier for those around us and not burden them with unnecessary difficulties. It is important to remember that even though something may seem easy for us, it may be hard for someone else and so we must always take this into consideration when making decisions.
