Caution Against Unbelief and Fighting Among Muslims

SUMMARY: The Prophet (May peace be upon him) warned against turning to unbelief after him and cautioned against fighting between Muslims.

Ibn 'Umar reported the Prophet (May peace be upon him) as saying : Do not turn unbelievers after me ; one of you may strike the neck of the other.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ وَاقِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ‏ "‏ لاَ تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is a warning from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to his followers not to turn away from Islam after his death. He also warned them not to fight each other as it would lead to bloodshed. This hadith teaches us that we should remain steadfast in our faith and avoid any kind of conflict with fellow Muslims. We should also strive for unity among ourselves and work together for the betterment of our community. It is important that we remember this teaching of the Prophet ﷺ so that we can live in harmony with one another and create a peaceful society.
