Relating Stories from the Children of Isra'il

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) used to relate stories from the children of Isra'il until morning came, and he would only get up for obligatory prayer.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As: The Prophet used to relate to us traditions from the children of Isra'il till morning came; he would not get up except for obligatory prayer.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَسَّانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ كَانَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُنَا عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ مَا يَقُومُ إِلاَّ إِلَى عُظْمِ صَلاَةٍ
