Sahih al-Bukhari 2460 (Book 46, Hadith 21) #2355
Spending Husband's Property Justly

SUMMARY: Aisha asked the Prophet if it was permissible to spend from her husband's property for their children, and the Prophet said it was permissible as long as it was done justly and reasonably.

Narrated Aisha: Hind bint 'Utba (Abu Sufyan's wife) came and said, "O Allah's Messenger ! Abu Sufyan is a miser. Is there any harm if I spend something from his property for our children?" He said, there is no harm for you if you feed them from it justly and reasonably (with no extravagance).

QUICK LESSONS:
Spend money on your family responsibly and fairly according to what they need without being extravagant or wasteful .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about spending money from a husband's property for the benefit of their children. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that this is allowed, but only if it is done in a just and reasonable manner. This means that one should not be extravagant or wasteful with the money, but rather use it in a way that will benefit the family without going overboard. It also teaches us to be mindful of how we use our resources, even when they are not our own. We should always strive to be fair and reasonable when using other people’s resources so that everyone can benefit from them equally. Additionally, this hadith shows us how important it is to take care of our families financially by providing them with what they need in order to live comfortably without being excessive or wasteful.
