Equitable Distribution of War Spoils

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) divided the spoils of war equally and Khalid's tradition was more perfect.

The tradition mentioned above has been transmitted by Dawud with a different chain of narrators. He said "The Apostle of Allaah apportioned it (spoils of war) equally. The tradition of Khalid is more perfect.
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَكَّارِ بْنِ بِلاَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي دَاوُدُ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَ فَقَسَّمَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِالسَّوَاءِ ‏.‏ وَحَدِيثُ خَالِدٍ أَتَمُّ
