QUICK LESSONS:
Observe religious obligations even if you have missed them in past

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about fasting on the last day of Sha’baan, which is a month in Islamic calendar. The Prophet asked a man if he had observed any fasts during this month and when he replied that he hadn't, the Prophet instructed him to observe one or two days of fasting as repentance. This teaches us that it is important to observe religious obligations even if we have missed them in past. It also shows us how merciful and forgiving Allah is towards His servants who repent for their mistakes and strive to do better in future.
