SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the sale of dates on the trees until they were ready to be eaten and weighed.

He replied "The Prophet forbade the sale a dates on the trees till they became fit for eating and could be weighed". A man asked what to be weighed (as the dates were still on the trees). Another man sitting beside Ibn 'Abbas replied, "Till they are cut and stored". Narrated Abu Al-Bakhtari: I heard Ibn 'Abbas (saying) that the Prophet forbade . etc. as above.

QUICK LESSONS:
Wait until things are fully prepared before attempting to sell them .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about selling dates before they are ready to be eaten. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ forbade people from selling dates on the trees until they were ripe enough to be weighed and cut, then stored away for later use. This hadith teaches us that we should not take advantage of others by selling them something that is not yet ready for consumption or use. It also teaches us that we should wait until things are fully prepared before attempting to sell them, as this will ensure fairness in our transactions with others.
