Take your children in your arms instead of getting angry or frustrated at their interruption; Nurture your children with love & patience; Remember Allah's words about trials being part of life as parents; Treat your child like gifts from God; Benefit society at large through raising good Muslims .

This hadith is about how children can be a trial for parents. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was delivering a sermon to his companions when he was interrupted by his grandchildren, al-Hasan and al-Husayn who were wearing red shirts. Instead of getting angry or frustrated, he descended from the pulpit, took them in his arms and ascended it again with them in order to remind everyone present that Allah said “Your property and your children are only trial” (64.15). This shows us that we should not get angry or frustrated when our children interrupt us but rather take it as an opportunity to remember Allah’s words about trials being part of life as parents. We should also remember that our children are gifts from Allah which we must nurture with love and patience so they can grow up into good Muslims who will benefit society at large.
