Attending Sermon on Friday

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ encourages people to attend the sermon on Friday and sit near the Imam, as it is a sign of entering Paradise.

Narrated Samurah ibn Jundub: The Prophet said: Attend the sermon (on Friday) and sit near the imam, for a man keeps himself away until he will be left behind at the time of entering Paradise though he enters it.
