Prohibiting the Consumption of Nabidh in Earthenware Jars

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) forbade the consumption of Nabidh made in green and white earthenware jars.

Abu Ishaq Ash-Shaibani said: "I heard Ibn Abi Awfa say: 'The Messenger of Allah SAW forbade Nabidh made in green and white earthenware jars'."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى، يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ الأَخْضَرِ وَالأَبْيَضِ
