EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is a clear statement from the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, that all forms of intoxicants are forbidden. This includes alcohol and any other substance that can cause intoxication or impair one's judgement. The Prophet Muhammad was sent as a mercy to mankind and this prohibition is for our own benefit, so we can protect ourselves from the harms caused by these substances. It also serves as a reminder to us to stay away from anything that could lead us astray or cause us harm in any way.

The values taught in this hadith include self-control, discipline, and responsibility towards oneself and others. We must take care not to indulge in activities or substances which could lead us astray or harm our health and wellbeing in any way. We must also be mindful of how our actions affect those around us; if we choose to partake in activities which involve intoxicants then it may have an adverse effect on those who look up to us as role models such as children or younger family members who may follow suit without understanding the consequences of their actions.
