Prohibition of Intoxicants

SUMMARY: Intoxicants are unlawful and prohibited.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that: The Prophet SAW said: "Every intoxicant is unlawful and every intoxicant is Khamr".
أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ خَمْرٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad [SAW] taught that intoxicants are unlawful and prohibited. This means that any type of substance or drink that causes intoxication is not allowed to be consumed by Muslims. This includes alcohol, drugs, and other substances that can cause intoxication. The Prophet [SAW] also taught us to stay away from anything that can lead us to do something wrong or sinful. We should strive to live a life of righteousness and piety in order to please Allah SWT.
